7.14.00: New Brooklyn Site is launched.

Welcome to the new on-line face of Brooklyn Machine Works. We've added some new sections, new photos, and new video clips. This facelift also marks some changes in focus at the machine works. We started this shop making 20" frames, cruisers, rim brakes, and various bmx accessories. As we experimented with bigger and stronger bikes (20" bmx to full-suspension bmx to the supertrucker...) our focus moved more towards the big bikes of downhill. Looking over our old site, we realized that it no longer reflected our main focus. We were getting tons of calls for products we just weren't making anymore (disc brakes have come down in price so much, that fewer people are upgrading to hi-quality rim brakes..but just jumping to discs). Consequently, we shifted some things around, most notably our bike page. We still carry cruiser frames, but we have stoped making our burly 20"ers. No, we're not turning our back on bmx, in fact doc is currently working on assembling some of the full suspension bmx bikes that were welded, but never finished. Look for those in the near future.

The new site also features our newest model, the tmx. The culmination of several years of design work, the tmx is proving itself every weekend at Plattekill, Mountain Creek, Central Park, and wherever else people are riding them. We have also started increasing production on our 26/24 park bikes. A cross between dual-slalom, trials, and general urban assault, the park bikes are great for after-work trials and hardcore park riding.

We hope you enjoy the new site. It's 90% complete, there are a just a few more things we're working one. One is the evolution section, which will feature some of our previous design work, as well as some of the cutting edge prototypes (think motorcycles forks).

The other soon-to-be feature will be the addition of order processing via credit card. This has been a much needed addition to the shop and will make ordering parts and frames much easier for everyone, especially those of you overseas.

Again, we hope you enjoy the new site. Welcome to Brooklyn.
